Contest rules
1. Organiser
This contest is organised by Joseph & Marcel VOF, Altenaken 11, 3320 Hoegaarden, Belgium, company number BE0650.871.780, email marc@huon.be (the "organiser").
2. Contest period
The contest runs from 17 October 2026 up to and including the day before our Spring Tasting 2027, at 23:59. We announce the exact date of the Spring Tasting on this page at least 30 days in advance. The contest ends in any case no later than 31 May 2027 at 23:59. Entries received later are not valid.
3. Who can enter?
The contest is open to private individuals (consumers) aged 18 or over who live in Belgium. Businesses, hospitality venues and other professional customers are excluded, as are invoices in the name of a business or showing a customer VAT number. Partners and staff of the organiser and members of their household are also excluded.
4. Purchase condition and number of entries
Entry is only possible with a Joseph & Marcel invoice in the name of the entrant, dated within the contest period. Every full box of six bottles of wine on the invoice (a box you put together yourself included) gives one entry, so an invoice with two boxes gives two entries. Each entry is made with a separate form using the same invoice number. Entries beyond the number the invoice allows are not valid. If an order is cancelled, withdrawn or partly returned, only the boxes that remain paid count.
5. How to enter
The entrant fully completes the form on this page: first name, last name, email, address, invoice number and the answer to the contest question. The contest question is: "In which year was Joseph & Marcel founded?" Incomplete or incorrectly completed entries are not valid.
6. Choosing the winner
The winner is drawn by lot from all valid entries with the correct answer to the contest question. Every box of six bottles on the invoice gives the entrant 1 chance. If the order was placed during a Joseph & Marcel tasting within the contest period, such as the Autumn Tasting of 23 and 24 October 2026, the entrant gets 2 chances per box, as shown by the note on the invoice. Example: an invoice with two boxes at a tasting gives 4 chances. The draw is made by an independent hand in the presence of at least two witnesses, at our Spring Tasting or no later than 14 days after the end of the contest. The organiser then checks the invoice and the other conditions of the winning entry. If it is not valid, a new winner is drawn. One person can win only one prize.
7. The prize
The prize is a one-week stay, from Saturday to the following Saturday, for up to six people in the holiday home My Home in Umbria (myhomeinumbria.it) in Umbria, Italy, in 2028, outside July and August. The exact dates are agreed with the organiser, subject to the availability of the holiday home. Not included, among other things: travel, insurance, meals, personal expenses and any local taxes or charges made by the owner. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another prize and is personal, unless the organiser agrees in writing to a transfer. If the winner cannot travel in 2028, the prize lapses without compensation.
8. Announcement
The winner is announced at our Spring Tasting and informed personally by email or phone no later than 14 days after the end of the contest. If the winner does not respond within 30 days, the right to the prize lapses and a new winner is drawn. With the winner's consent, the organiser may publish the first name, the initial of the last name and the town on the website and social media.
9. Alcohol
Joseph & Marcel does not sell alcohol to anyone under 18. Please drink responsibly.
10. Personal data
The organiser processes entrants' data as controller, only to run the contest, check entries and contact the winner. Data are kept until six months after the end of the contest, the winner's data until the stay has ended. The winner's data are passed to the owner of the holiday home, only to arrange the stay. Entrants can access, correct or delete their data via marc@huon.be. More information is in our privacy statement. Deleting your data before the end of the contest withdraws your entry.
11. Fraud and liability
The organiser may exclude entrants in case of abuse, fraud or entries that do not comply with these rules, such as false invoices or more entries than allowed. The organiser is not liable for technical problems when entering, for the performance of the stay by the owner of the holiday home, or for damage during or after the stay, except in case of intent or gross negligence. In case of force majeure, the organiser may adjust, extend or stop the contest, or award an equivalent prize.
12. Final provisions
By entering, the entrant fully accepts these rules. The rules can be consulted free of charge on this page. In case of differences between language versions, the Dutch text prevails. Complaints about the contest must be sent in writing to the organiser no later than 30 days after the end of the contest. Belgian law applies. Disputes are brought before the competent courts of the judicial district of Leuven, without prejudice to mandatory rules on jurisdiction for consumers.
